Intro from the creator of Fluffy Bottom Boutique

Hello! My name is Rachel Butler. I am the creator of Fluffy Bottom Boutique. It's an Etsy based shop for custom tutus. I make other things like, headbands, hair bows, skirts and possibly more coming soon. FBB has only been open for a week but I'm looking forward to start custom orders.  I'm very excited to make Halloween costume tutus starting in August.

More about me and why I decided to create this shop. I'm a stay at home mom to three beautiful girls.  Lillian, who is turning 11 very soon.  Isabella, who turns 7 next week and Scarlett, who is 4.  My husband's job is very demanding so I couldn't go to school or work full time with out it hindering my children from properly taking care of them.  I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home.  Although I am very thankful to be able to stay with my kids, I still needed something for myself, my own identity. So I tried my hand at making my daughter a tutu and I loved doing it.  It was relaxing and very fun coming up with design ideas.  So I decided I could totally sell these, and that's where Fluffy Bottom Boutique came from.  Have I sold anything? Well, not yet but I have a lot of interested people. 😉
When I was a little girl around 9/10 years old I loved fashion, I was reading Bazaar magazine and would go to thrift stores and buy funky clothes and shoes and dress up, I would alter each thing by tying knots or cutting.  I would draw my own clothing designs and just loved high fashion.  As I got older I still loved fashion but it was more of a fantasy than a dream.  I met my husband at 17 and by 19 had my first baby.  I forgot all about my love of fashion at this point.  I picked up photography in my 20's and my dream of making fashion turned into oh I wish I could be a high fashion photographer.  Well by 23 I had my 2nd baby and my husband was hired at his very demanding full time job.  I quit my little job at Best Buy and started staying home.  I tried going back to school but schedules with kids and my husband made it too difficult, so I left college too.  I thought about becoming a professional photographer but I tried a wedding and it was not for me, and I don't have a space for studio shoots.  I'm better being behind the scenes of things anyway.  So FBB is my perfect fit. That's my short little story, I hope this blog will be enjoyable and can't wait to make some new tutus. 😊
